     First I want to say how extremely excited I am about my career as a personal trainer! I work alongside my amazing husband Odis! We spend many hours in the gym everyday and love it, it's our passion to help others get in shape! I would like to share some of my background with you, so you know a little about me...
     Most people think that personal trainers and fitness competitors have always been in great shape and don't know what it's like on the downside, to be obese or depressed about the way you look, stress eat, and so on. Let me tell you, I have been there, done that and got the t-shirt! Up until I was about 26 years old, I was in great shape and always ran and worked out. I weighed all of about 115 lbs. with an average of 10% body fat. Around that time I had a very stressful job and was depressed for many other reasons. I tried to put on a smile and act as if nothing was wrong. I stress ate like crazy plus stopped all exercising. I guess in the back of my mind, I thought nothing would happen, I'm never going to be overweight....HA! Did I have a wake up call! I was once over 200 lbs, over 30% body fat, on diabetic meds, cholesterol meds, anti-depressant, you name it. It seemed like it happened overnight although I know it didn't. I was frustrated and hopeless. I kept asking, HOW in the world did I let things get so out of control? WHY did I let this happen to myself? WHAT do I do now? Any of these questions sound familiar?
     I finally came to the realization that I can continue to let my health spiral downward OR I can get control of it and get "me" back. I changed my career path, started eating right, exercising and doing things that made me happy again, not to mention marrying the love of my life! Ever since I made that decision to take control, I have not looked back. I have never felt better, both physically and emotionally. I am proud to say I have been off all medications for over 5 years now. I went from a size 16 down to size 6, body fat is 12% and at age 34 I feel fantastic! That's right, I dropped 10 dress sizes plus cut my body fat in half, and I can help you get down to the size you want to be! When I talk to people and sense the self doubt about their weight loss, I motivate them by telling them exactly what I'm telling you. Their reply, "No, not you, you were never where I am! You look like you have always been in great shape!" Well, here's proof, take a look at my before and after photos below. I know how to get you in top shape as I went through it first hand.
    Life situations can be difficult to deal with, even devastating, but don't let them control you so much that you sacrifice your happiness and health! Trust me, it's not worth it! I also know it is easier said than done. That's why I want to help you on your fitness journey. I've been on the other side and it's not pretty. I know what you are going through and I'm here to motivate and guide you to reach your goal! 
     I want to change peoples lives, like mine has been changed, and help them get in shape and stay there! This is not something that will happen overnight or in a week. It will take time. But if you are consistent you WILL achieve your goals! With hard work, dedication, and consistency, anything is possible!
